I’m Helen, founder of Sorted.
I’ve spent much of my career working in agencies and alongside client teams, supporting businesses of all sizes — from national brands to smaller organisations where every decision, and every pound of budget, really matters.
That experience has shaped the way I approach marketing now.
I’ve seen how quickly things can become overcomplicated, and how the pressure to keep doing more can become overwhelming. But the businesses that get results are rarely the ones doing the most.
They’re the ones doing the right things, clearly and consistently.
That is the thinking behind Sorted.
I look beyond the immediate task.
I don’t come in with a fixed formula, and I don’t assume that what works for one business will work for another.
I take the time to understand what you are trying to achieve, what is already in place and what may be getting in the way.
Sometimes the answer is a stronger campaign, a clearer website or better content.
Sometimes it is improving the customer or candidate journey, simplifying a process or deciding that something does not need doing at all.
The answer is not always more marketing.
Sometimes it is seeing the whole picture.
Why that matters for smaller businesses
For many smaller businesses, marketing is not someone’s only responsibility.
It has to fit around everything else - serving customers, managing people, winning work and keeping the business moving.
That can make it difficult to step back, see what is working and decide what should happen next.
I work best with businesses where the work is close to the people making the decisions. That is often where the impact of clear, practical support can be felt most quickly.

Away from work…
I’m usually happiest outside - walking, running, cycling, or spending time at my allotment. I like practical things, fresh air, and getting stuck in, which probably says a lot about how I work too.
